Hallmarking of Gold is a unique project started by Government of INDIA, Keeping in mind the Consumer, where in the Hallmaked product received by an end consumer ensures them about the purity of gold what they get. In this project Bureau of Indian Standard(BIS) an arm of Government of INDIA, has laid down a procedure, which has to be followed for hallmarking of gold Jewellery & artifacts. BIS grants license to private institutions who have to abide by the norms decided by BIS. BIS plays active role, by regularly conducting audits at the Hallmarking Centers. The Hallmarked Jewellery received by you has to pass thru various test, which are as follows.
